Britain is one of the most age-segregated countries in the world. This causes loneliness and exclusion, a lack of trust, ageism and division between generations. It doesn’t have to be like this. More and more projects are enabling older and younger people to mix and share activities and experiences.
One of these projects is being led by Someries Infant School. Every fortnight, a group of key stage one pupils visits our local residential home - Mary Brash Court - to engage in a variety of craft-based activities with their residents.
